The International FDM Organisation (IFDMO)
was founded in 2012 and, after the untimely death of Stephen Typaldos, set itself the task of training FDM instructors to raise the profile of the fascial distortion model for therapists and patients.
Recently fascia have move from life in the shadows to bathing in the medical limelight. After the first fascial congress in 2007 in Boston many scientists are now researching this, until recently, only partially known tissue.
Typaldos voiced the hope that every patient should have access to this therapy model. We see ourselves obliged to address this aspiration. Within the last few years the institute for fascial osteopathy has developed into the worlds largest providers of the fascial distortion model. In Europe, FDM is taught in more than twenty locations.
Patients have the opportunity to inform themselves about the fascial distortion model and to find qualified, certified therapists in their area.
We invite you to become a part of our expanding fascia network.
